DURASWEEPER
The DURASWEEPER was developed and patented by Bill Candeletti when he was a Police Officer in New Jersey. The concept was the result of a tragic death which was due to dislodging snow from a trailer rooftop. A similar incident occured around Christmas time in 2005 in Pennsylvania. Yet another incident recently aired on TV where and IIllinois motorist was injured and his windshield smashed due to flying ice.
Nationwide, people are reporting damages to their vehicles as a result of Flying Snow.
Many northeastern states have begun to pass lesislation addressing the situation of Flying Snow. Presently Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Maine, New York and Connecticut either have or will have laws in place mandating the removal of snow and ice from all vehicle rooftops with fines ranging from $25,000 to $1,500.00 not to mention the liablity and subsequent litigation if someone gets hurt or killed from Flying Snow!
The DURASWEEPER uses state of the art technology to remove snow and ice from the rooftops of all types of commercial vehicles, buses, flatbeds, straight jobs and delivery trucks without damaging the integrity of the vehicles roof. The DURASWEEPER utilizes a thirty-two inch poly wafer brush twelve foot in length. The brush mounted to the two uprithts and angled at a precise degree is raised hydraulically to a height slightly higher than that of the vehicle as the vehicle passes under the spinning brush, the patented flicking action, removes the snow and ice quickly and easily without damaging the roof.
At a recent product demonstration, representatives from some of the nation's largest trucking companies were on hand to witness the DURASWEEPER in action. In a round table discussion afterwood, they all agreed on one item, safety was their companies top concern as well as image and reputation and DURASWEEPER may very well be the answer they are looking for.
